What’s your favorite summer skincare or beauty product?

Sweet almond body oil, for all of those exposed limbs.

 In-flight masking yes or no?

No! I tried it once, but no!

Skincare

Tell us about your relationship with skincare. Where did it start? How has it evolved?

My mom introduced me to the Clinique 3-step regimen when I was 12 or 13 years old. That really started my obsession with skincare products. In some ways, I feel like I was more diligent with skincare and makeup when I was younger. Now, I have less time, but more beauty products. I still wash my face day and night and I try to do a face mask at least twice a week.

Best beauty advice your Mom/Grandma/Aunt, etc. shared with you?

My mom instilled in me that it was super important to always wash your face before bed. My great aunt never wrinkled and she told me that her secret was using squalane oil. My grandma warned me to never go in the sun (easier said than done!).

What is your skincare/beauty guilty pleasure/confession? (We won't judge!)

I love popping blackheads and pimples.

Walk us through your typical morning and evening skincare routine. How and why does it differ on a daily basis?

I always wash my face with Erno Laszlo Hydra-Therapy Foaming Cleanser. I exfoliate at night. I try to mask twice a week. I like to use Vitamin C serums at night. I try to do Vitamin C Peel once a week. Lastly, I use Firmarine Moisturizer SPF 30 every morning. I always use great moisturizer in the AM and PM. In the morning, I am rushed, so I normally prep my skin and then do any makeup on the go.

Do you have a skincare/beauty hack to share?

If you need to have a good day, always get a blowout!

Beauty

Describe your standard beauty/makeup routine. How does it differ from daytime to evening?

These are the only beauty products that I use on a daily basis:

Mecca Cosmetica and Cle De Peau concealer (I mix them.)

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder

The Shock, YSL Mascara in Black

YSL Couture Brow

Benetint Liquid Blush

Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base

Some sort of light pink lip gloss

At night, I add black eyeliner and sometimes Fenty Killiwat Eyeshadow in Ginger Beige / Moscow Mule .

Who is your #1 beauty icon?

Cindy Crawford.

You snooze your alarm and only have time to brush your teeth and do one step in your skincare/beauty routine? What is it?

Micellar water all over my face with moisturizer.

The beauty (and fashion!) space is constantly evolving. What are your thoughts on its current status and how that impacts you as a woman? What do you wish this space would continue to improve on?

Beauty and fashion has always been fun for me. The evolution is part of the fun! Technology has made it easy for people with creative vision to enter the market, but there is still a lot of opacity, so I hope that, in the future, there are more solutions and widespread information so that entrepreneurs can gain support and more easily scale their ideas.
