A 5-Step In-Flight Skincare Routine

Buckle your seatbelts, make sure your seats and tray tables are upright and in the locked position and your skincare routine is stowed underneath the seat in front of you in your carry-on. We are taking off into the land of in-flight skincare routines (Yes, that’s officially a thing now.) so you can land with first-class skin after your next flight! Pack these TSA-approved essentials, pair with cheesy in-flight entertainment and combat the dehydrating, damaging environment up in the air like a true frequent-flyer.

Double Cleanse Travel Set

For long or red-eye flights, we always recommend removing your makeup and any dirt or debris that has established temporary residence in your pores. Pack your favorite Double Cleanse Travel Set (depending on your skin type or the environment of your destination) and head to the airport bathroom after checking in. This will allow your complexion to breath despite the damages of recycled cabin air and provide a clean slate for the following products.

Soothe & Calm Hydrogel Mask

Honestly, masking on planes is quickly becoming socially acceptable so you don’t even need to be feeling particularly brave for this. Nonetheless, our Soothe & Calm Hydrogel is a discrete light pink color that helps beat the stressors of travel and flying on your skin. Rose Oil helps lock moisture in while refining skin texture. Pair with a glass of champagne and both you and skin will feel soothed despite any unforeseen turbulence.

Hydra-Therapy Memory Sleep Mask

For those who are just dipping their toes in the ‘masking in public’ phenomenon, our Hydra-Therapy Memory Sleep Mask is a good entry point. Once applied, it’s undetectable to the human eye so you don’t have to worry about strange looks from your neighbors while you’re locking in moisture that the air cabin pressure tries to zap out. It’s made with 24-Hour Smart Hydrators (like prickly pear, green ginger and mugwort extracts) that are known for their ability to attract water in challenging environment (read: cruising altitude). No rinsing required, either!

Phormula 3-9 Balm

If you’re crossing time zones or flying overseas, you might want to invest in the deep moisture provided by our Phormula 3-9 Balm, a favorite of Marilyn Monroe. For long-haul flights, the blend of botanical oils, plant and marine-bio actives create a virtual surface barrier as they absorb to hydrate and replenish moisture to your skin. We also love to use this on our lips or as a spot treatment for any dry patches! You can apply this right over the Memory Sleep Mask for double-duty hydration.

Multi-Task Eye Serum Mask

Right before landing, our Multi-Task Eye Serum Mask is a must-have. Glycerin, known as a moisture magnet, attracts and holds in moisture to help fill in fine lines and crows feets and Gotu Kola calms stressed out skin and improves circulation. The only baggage you’ll have to worry about upon landing is your carry-on!
