Whether you’re burning the midnight oil or getting carried away during an extra-long girls night out, sometimes you’re just not gonna get enough sleep. But what if you have an important date the next day? You just cannot look tired. Never fear – we’ve got your back with tips on how to look way less tired than you feel!

Don’t skimp on your AM routine.

First of all, you better start the day with a super-thorough take on your morning skincare routine. Here are some of our faves: our Pore Refining Detox Double Cleanse, which combats dull skin by drawing out impurities; our White Marble Dual Phase Vitamin C Peel, which refreshes and renews tired skin; and our Hydra-Therapy Boost Serum, which gives your skin the extra hydration it needs when you’re extra tired.

It’s all about your eyes.

Not only are they the window to the soul, but they’re also a dead giveaway for a restless night. Luckily, our Multi-Task Eye Masks de-puff even the most tired-looking under-eye area – and it only takes 10 minutes! Make-up tip: use a concealer that is yellow-toned or two shades lighter than your skin to continue the brightening effect.

Aloe vera is your friend.

Aloe vera is known for its anti-inflammatory and hydration properties, just the boost tired skin needs! Not only that, but its cooling effect can decrease under-eye puffiness too. That’s why our Firmarine Eye Serum contains aloe vera as an ingredient – its moisture-giving and soothing powers are the perfect way to relieve dry, sensitive, and stressed skin.

So is exfoliating.

Dull skin is another super obvious giveaway that you had a restless night. Combat your dull skin with some exfoliation to get that glow back. In addition to our fave Detox Double Cleanse, throw on our Exfoliate & Detox Hydrogel Mask for 15-20 minutes and let the charcoal, fruit blend, and kiwi extract work their magic.

So is moisturizing.

Replenishing your skin’s moisture content is also vital if you don’t want to look tired. Up the ante with a brightening moisturizer like our White Marble Translucence Cream, which absorbs quickly and hydrates intensely.

Go for a natural look.

After all the skincare, it’s time to put on makeup. A natural look will help you look alert. Instead of using matte concealer for your under-eye are, try something light and dewy in texture. To make your eyes even brighter, apply concealer to the upper lid. This can take away discoloration to make you look more awake!

You also want to avoid applying anything drying to your face. Skip the powder makeup and go for cream-based instead. Create a healthy, natural glow by highlighting your cheekbones, brow bone, and cupid’s bow.

Use your eye makeup wisely.

Back to the eyes with one final makeup trick: only apply mascara to your upper lashes. This prevents the mascara from smudging under your eye, which can create dark patches – the last thing you want when you’re trying not to look tired!

If black eyeliner is your ride-or-die makeup – sorry. You should have slept for longer. But seriously, if you’re super tired, you might want to skip it just this once. Opt for a less harsh choice, such as a blue hue. Blue will minimize redness and make the whites of your eyes pop, for a bright and wide awake appearance.

No sleep, no problem! We really hope you’re actually getting 7-9 hours of sleep each and every night, but with your busy life, we know that’s asking kind of a lot. Follow these tips and no one will know how tired you are, but everyone will wonder how you do it all!
